It is not "anti drag" to prohibit children from attending an explicitly adult performance. Children should NOT be at most drag shows, and anyone who has been to a drag show knows this.

Modern-day unreality is such that you find yourself asking: is this an eldritch trick that will see me trapped in the Summer Court for a hundred years or just a really creative credit card scraping scam? At least I got ice cream out of it.

I have little to add to the chat, but I will say this: Those of us who spend a lot of time talking about politics overestimate how much other people care about, or are even familiar with, the labels we use to describe, denigrate, or celebrate candidates. Sometimes we’re high on our own supply.

I'm weirdly finding that as I get older, it's easier to learn new skills, which is the opposite of what I thought was supposed to happen. I don't think we're giving enough credit to a lifetime of built skills. When new skills have overlap w/existing ones it greases the wheels for the new.

Okay thinking about things I hate for nerdy reasons (not exactly nerdy things to hate but...) look, camp fires: so much carcinogen. I love camping. I love making camp fires. But one time (maybe still), Harvard, a non-smoking campus, put a bunch of wood burning campfires in a public area!!!

Exciting day. My set-theoretic reconceptualization of the DSM (w/ MDD, GAD, and PTSD as empirical examples) is out today in JPCS, along with four invited commentaries and my response. I'm biased, but I recommend all six papers. I was really jazzed by all four commentaries. 1/25

We watched this with our kids recently and it holds up surprisingly well. It's genuinely hysterical in parts.
