As a teen, school lunches were for poor kids, otherwise you (your parents) had to pay a significant amount to access it. Most children bought from the food carts at school: $2.50 - pizza $1.50 - soggy sandwich $.50 - chips $.25 - brownie/candy/etc. I had $2 a day. I ate mostly brownies.

After years of drinking 1-2 sodas a day, I entirely quit them a couple years ago. Yesterday the combo package at my tiny movie theater came with a drink, so I asked for a coke before they handed me a half gallon sized cup 😬 I drank it. I feel like I still have sugar jitters.
Sooooooo, Wildwood was the story teenaged me DREAMED of seeing on screen (After I learned that The Chronicles of Narnia was a non subtle Christian allegory.) Also, it's brutal in it's depiction of war. Live action is often far more subtle. It's a movie for adults and it happens to star children.

Every costume I've seen Kory make is AMAZING. It encouraged me to leave the house in my (purchased, not made by me) fully yarn knitted Dwarven beard and helmet. It's honestly my favorite costume. The entire joke is "I'm a dwarf lady."

Still got cat PTSD 😎 Laufey had a low fever yesterday, and sounded weak. She has had some bad diarrhea for a couple days. I gave her some probiotic paste that helps firm stools. She's doing fine. Active, alert, low fever gone. But my brain keeps whispering "you also thought Gandalf was okay."😮💨

On this note: Last night I told V that we were going to do a "roleplay exercise" where he is the wife who remembers what all the tasks are and does them, and I'm the doofy husband who only does tasks when asked to. His one power is he can ask me to do anything, but it's his responsibility to ask 😹

Kinda still chuckling to myself at the human who approached me 10 minutes before closing on the final day of con with one of my $30 limited edition pins. "Its the end of day, would you accept $20?" "I'll sell it for.... $30." He went "... fair." And paid. 😹
V realized one of his Pokemon cards was potentially worth 7k-100k if it came back graded a 9 or 10 (I know, pokemon card value is stupid right now) and we discussed how we would build a nicer catio, and update bathrooms. But with millions, I'd use bank interest as an arts fund. 🤷♀️
