My big comic purchase from @thebeguiling.bsky.social this week was Q Hayashida's DAI DARK Deluxe Edition V1...which ALSO has the added novelty of a glow in the dark cover! :D Much like DOROHEDORO, this is a very fun horror/black comedy book about a kid being hunted for his magic bones. :P
The way I flew out to my mailbox when I saw that it had came... thanks @thebeguiling.bsky.social for this Kickstart, and thanks @battan8.bsky.social for making some of the best yuri in the world!
Canadian pre orders for "Heaven in the Hell" and "Marking Omega" 1& 2 from @futekiya.bsky.social are now open on our webstore! :) beguilingbooks.com/lists/Lx2Rd9...

Visited @thebeguiling.bsky.social in Toronto today and signed some books. I also spotted @davescheidt.com and @mustachebabs.com on the shelves!
New Manga! (& manga adjacent titles!) Chiisakobee finally in English, the second volume of Battan’s Secondhand Sisters, Hirohiko Araki’s “How to Create Villains”, lots of neat things for every type of manga reader.
Today at 6:30 pm at @thebeguiling.bsky.social! I'll be joining some of Canada's most influential cartoonists and writers discussing the process of reprinting & introducing readers to previously published comics from past generations. Featuring Ho Che Anderson, Nick Craine and Jay Stephens!
my @thebeguiling.bsky.social haul :) "funniest possible hololive doujin artbook purchase" was a very tough choice btwn the takamori one where they get married + the one from Mano Aloe's character designer.
The Art of the Reprint! Ho Che Anderson, Jay Stephens, Nick Craine and myself will be at @thebeguiling.bsky.social on August 29th to discuss and sign comics. Hope to see you there!
Signing Alert! I'll be appearing at @thebeguiling.bsky.social in Toronto for the release of FOX MASK KILLER #1 on Sept 16 from 5:30-7PM. Stop by, get a signed issue, have fun! @readtinyonion.bsky.social
Such a fun store to browse as they have so many older books for original price. The staff were all super friendly & helpful even going back into their overstock area to find a copy of the Spirit Archives Vol. 11 when I asked if they had any single volumes of the series outside the full set for sale.
We will be at Otakuthon this weekend in Montreal! We will be selling manga, light novels, webtoons, art books, danmei, BL, yuri, and soooooo much hentai! Stay tuned for details on some cool giveaways we will be doing at our booth. 👀

Delivery from the Beguiling! Initially, the order was to buy Mafalda but I couldn’t resist some Seth. Thanks @thebeguiling.bsky.social
Big recommendation for Cocoon by Machiko Kyō. It's like speedrunning multiple viewings of Grave of the Fireflies back to back. Will leave you emotionally destroyed.
