2/2 The close-ups of my wildfire embroidery. I tried to get a glowing effect with the fire and embers with colours I chose. I cut up my favourite cardigan for the rough charred ground as it was the only fabric I had with the right colour and texture but its not needed in this heat anyway...

A zoomed-in embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial view landscape. It shows a forest on the right, a line of fire and charred ground with smoke on the left. The smoke is felted wool. just got back from resting my shoulder to return to analysing my design notes, last thing i looked at was an observation i made three months ago about the state of my physical health four months ago, and i simply noted down "pressure to put research work above physical wellbeing". it is 11pm.

the actual success of the 'friendslop' genre i think at least partly comes down to just emulating the feeling of loading up a weird surrealist mod of half-life in 2001 and joining a random server for a few evenings and then never playing it again. the genre is just like... y2k internet mod scene.

The reason the strawberry thing stuck with people is that it’s a simple error that implied other unseen errors. If you are using an LLM looking for a *provably* correct output, then great! If you are putting an LLM in a huge automated chain and assuming it can do stuff with no oversight, then uh-oh.
