imo not enough people are making games about how fucking miserable and toxic the current pervasiveness of gambling mechanics in the form is but i guess you don't sell as much as balatro if you outright tell the audience they're hurting themself by playing

Auto-stabbed my finger with 4 seconds and 8 stabs left in the game, fell unconscious, and woke up to be reassured that yes that still counted as a win. 10/10 experience I was sweating bullets thank you Ursa 🐻

it's common for platformers to have a 'here's us showing you how the mechanics work' section, then a 'now we test if you understand how the mechanics work' section. if unfair flips is the tutorial on how probability works, 500 finger fillet is the test, and i love it for that

i won on my second run! i got a great combo of rings that just let me build up tons of time so i didn't have to worry about that on the last two rounds, but i did end up choosing a lot of extra sever chances and a pretty wide knife so it did get scary.
