I haven't lost my job to AI, but my workload has tripled without change in pay or promotion. We lost 3 FTEs that never were backfilled since the AI push. And management is clueless with how unhelpful it is for complex support. Then my boomer parents say I don't work hard enough to afford property.

Potential hot take: What if we instead used Thursday nights at convention dances as an open deck night instead of having scheduled DJs??? This would allow A/V and other staff to work out all the bugs and train new staff instead of doing that during sets.
