This is really big (if it works!)—a big limitation for the use of R in simulation up to this point has been memory bloat. I’ve had to turn off parallel processing/reduce the number of workers many times in my {targets} workflows due to OOM errors. Hopefully this will solve that problem #RStats

Just released mori 0.1.0 on CRAN — a new R package for shared memory across processes. Parallel R no longer has to mean duplicating your dataset in every worker's RAM. opensource.posit.co/blog/2026-04... 🧵 1/3

The White House has been caught. The administration inserted a photo of Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and Diana Ross into the Epstein files and falsely implied it showed them with victims. In reality, it’s a publicly available fundraiser photo featuring Jackson and Ross’s own children.

Introducing bluffbench, a new tool to evaluate how well LLMs actually see data plots. When we trick LLMs with secret #RStats transformations, they can miss the visual contradiction. bluffbench helps us measure this "blind spot" in AI coding agents. Learn more: posit.co/blog/introdu...

When plotting, LLMs see what they expect to see - Posit

Data science agents need to accurately read plots even when the content contradicts their expectations. Our testing shows today's LLMs still struggle here.
