Ok ive officially now seen all of Hellsing Ultimate, good shit~ I think I tried watching the original series back in like 2028/2019, and just couldnt handle the way the Nazis were portrayed and given as much screen time as they were, felt too "lets hear their side of things" But this was goooooood

engagement-driven monetisation and gamification systems like gacha are everywhere in games. they have had real material negative impacts in genres i enjoy. they are a massive chunk of the market now. yes, i cant "undo" it. but i have been able to avoid them easily by just playing other games

the "you can't avoid AI, it's in all software now" argument might be true for infrastructure, where we have limited agency over the platforms and systems that make up our society, but is hilariously untrue for video games, a completely optional and easily ignored part of all of our lives

I've had this idea where I want to use the VATE-artstyle I have and mimic a "Character Select screen", like it's a fighting game but with Vtubers. There'd be 2 Vtubers in their poses and at the bottom you'd have a the roster with a lot of locked characters. Thoughts?
