Are you effing kidding me? Tish James won every case she brought against Trump. Alvin Brag convicted Trump of dozens of felonies. Yet Merrick Garland, who had vastly greater resources, did nothing on nuclear secrets in toilets, so much more serious & dangerous than anything James & Bragg prosecuted.

He was a supporter of voting rights and did increase his staff for civil cases but he was barely a voice in the crowd and did nothing to shore up voting rights against what we’re dealing with now.

Your comment has no basis in truth or relevance. Garland was confirmed by the senate and welcomed into the Biden admin because of McConnell’s failure to vote to seat him on Scotus/Trump 1.0. Later he turned out to be an epic disappointment, fearful of indicting big money criminals.

In short, the problem isn't that we fail to listen to one another. The problem is that a big segment of the right wing is breeding vipers. I've heard the vipers' message. I'm not interested in it. I'm interested in crushing the vipers.

With a GOP Supreme Court majority and so many racist voters poised to return to the GOP in a few years? It's not going to be easy. Forget anti-corruption. Job 1 is to fight as hard as possible to restore the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and restore democracy itself. Nothing else matters more.

What Timothy Snyder says here cannot be over-emphasized. Democrats must not only win, but immediately – announcing on 4 Nov. and beginning on 3 Jan., they *must* legislate and execute anti-corruption – even if Trump vetos them. We must become the party of anti-corruption and social mobility.
