the problem with putting laptops to sleep is they are inherently high anxiety and will sit there pretending to sleep but their processor will be going wild ruminating on useless tasks instead of sleeping and you take it out of your bag and it’s sweaty and out of battery and generally just miserable

Caught myself in a full body studder today. Was putting away dishes and got distracted from reading to put a bowl away by thinking “oh I need to clean this bottle” and my brain/body rapidly stuttered back and forth as my brain caught up with the command my body was already executing. Weird feeling
I started using a new mental framework for personal projects and it’s so cynically I’m almost afraid to share but it’s very effective for me apparently. The framework is: pretend the project is a client project. Start with a single grain of sand like “it’s like gundam meets Pokémon” or something.
