It's in the paper, so I guess it's official now! See you soon, Manitoba! It's been a minute... #5pinbowling #Manitoba #Westman
I had LONG given up hope of having any hits on my "Sony RX10V" search/alert, but yet, here we are. (When you buy a whole bowling alley, WHAT'S ONE LITTLE NEW BIRDING CAMERA in comparison, right??)
As someone who always wanted to build and host a personal site yet couldn't gather the courage due to the horrendous sight of modern web I want to thank all the people behind @astro.build for their work on not only the framework itself but also on its documentation
New @astro.build site in 4... 3... 2...

It's strange having client docs work that's *not* open source, so I don't know how public to be. 😅 But, if you happen to know whose docs I'm helping... just published a batch of small but strategic sidebar nav & onboarding changes to usher in the weekend that (I think) make a HUGE difference. 💪
Based on my regular home play from the couch, pretty sure that my signature form of Jeopardy! question if I ever got on the show would be, "Is it...?" 😅
The one where @florian-lefebvre.dev spills Astro Docs secrets! Take a listen to Florian's journey through open source, and how he handled the responsibilities of providing accompanying documentation along the way. (And learned to love it, right? Right?!?!)

It's Global Big (bird) Day! An excuse to go hang out in one of my favourite spots before the baseball game. (And, no day is complete without some blue jays!)

When interactions "go wrong", the very thing you are most likely to complain about and try to change is the very thing that most people find hardest and most painful to change about themselves. Result? Merry chaos. I propose an alternative that might actually work. blog.jbrains.ca/permalink/th...

Watching a bunch of "how to hem your own pants" tutorials on YouTube and maybe the best advice so far: "If anyone is looking that closely at your hem, you don't need them in your life."
Do you run a IRL tech community? Or have you thought about running one to make some in-person connections in your area? ICYMI last week I launched a new site that means you can create your community without needing an expensive paid account on a certain site who shall not be named. devrelish.tech

Wow, applying some of my own advice to my own writing *really* makes a difference. I should do this all the time! 😂
I spent the weekends the past month refining a new site at DevRelish.tech. The goal was to create something that wasn't Meetup that helps folks in tech organize IRL social gatherings. It's not a full replacement, but it's free and open source. I wrote more here. remotesynthesis.com/posts/introd...

That thing where your crows wonder why you'll rush outside to photograph the eagles flying overhead, but don't pay specific attention to them. After four "hello"s, I came out with peanuts. (This is an older video, but we have regular "Hello Crows" in the backyard.)
