The BS about comparing loss of life by saying it’s “like n 9/11s” has me thinking that when historians look back at this time — if there are still historians around to truthfully document the times — it may sadly be more appropriate to use the Holocaust as a basis. It’s all an atrocious loss 💔
This fall I’m doubling down on East Bay life. Gratefully, this means less car-centricity 😮💨 I walk to my weekly farmers market in 4 blocks. Walk to a few amazing groceries. Walk to a great bakery. Great Mexican, Taiwanese, burger & fries, Thai, pizza, sushi. My community garden around the corner… 🙏🏻

On top of a busy week with peak mental throughput Thursday afternoon, this week I worked out with my trainer both Thursday and Friday mornings. Today? Today will include as little movement as possible. I had two things to do in SF and just cancelled both appearances. 😮💨

My 84yo Dad called to ask if I got his message today. I hadn’t. “Where did you send it?” I asked. “Online,” he said. Narrows it down… 😏 “Facebook? Instagram? LinkedIn?” Nah, fam. Presenting my first-ever completed form inquiry from my newly revamped site — & my Dad’s first-ever completed form.
We've got a Muslim man running the most multicultural city in the world and making space for all the people in it. That's what cultural victory over fundamentalism looks like, it's a shame that there's a part of the population that couldn't identify a cultural victory if it slapped them in the face.

Two delightful interactions from this past week: 1: Venice Beach. I arrive solo, and start to put on SPF. I’m standing, scoping the scene. A presumably straight white guy on a neighboring blanket asks, bluntly, as I’m looking in their direction, “Can I help you,” in a way that wasn’t a question.
LAX ✈️ SFO Mood: 9/10. Had a great week in LA seeing friends who live here & others who just happened to be here (from SF & NY). And! Also! After YEARS of being only internet friends, I finally met the delightful gem named @bcdreyer.social — now available in IRL edition! 🦞🥓🍦 Get. Me. Home!! 😴
I’m so over being invited to professional events 24-48h before they happen. It’s disrespectful and presumptuous. However, if a friend gets in contact and asks me to spontaneously do a thing? I’m way more amenable. Professional ≠ casual. Casual ≠ professional. Anyone else have a different stance?
