I think I might be secretly part of a new game show. I’ve been put up in a hotel for the purposes of some highish-level but relatively low-stakes schmoozing. The putter-uppers have chosen kindly to welcome me with a bottle of champagne in the room. Which would need drinking now. By myself.

The dirty secret is that rich people need to live in politically stable regimes in order to keep their wealth. They will piss and moan about taxes, but they will not flee en masse. They like paved roads and not being kidnapped too much.
