“Ms Justice Mary Rose Gearty delivered judgment today in the case of 11 of 21 cases before the court where people had challenged their detention because they did not have solicitors present due to the current dispute over legal aid.” Maybe FF will stop playing petite fasciste with the courts soon

The High Court has ruled there was a fundamental denial of justice in the cases of a number of people who were refused bail while not legally represented in the District Court because of the current criminal legal aid dispute. www.rte.ie/news/2026/07...

Falconer: ".. the real importance of trying to get more young people into work.. also making sure the PIP system incentivises that" Except PIP isn't an out of work benefit, its a benefit to help with the extra costs of living with a disability, & plenty on people PIP do work

Not sure who needs to hear this, but "judicial review" is literally just the name you give a case when a person says the State has broken a law (any law, about anything) and they want a court to put a stop to it. A politician saying "I am against anyone taking a judicial review" is proto-fascist.

The government will take a £12 billion hit on the public finances if/when it belatedly reduces the current [unrealistically high] OBR projection of net migration averaging 235k for next 3 years to about 130-150k. (But it could double that cost if it wants to stay closer to zero net migration).

State Pension age to rise to 68 for 5m Britons years earlier than expected. Many physically won't be able to work. Longer NHS queues. Many won't live long enough to draw the pension, wealth transferred to the rich who live longer. Cull of the working class. Rich can retire whenever they want.

Millions to retire later under state pension age increase plans

Around five millions workers could lose out under the plans, according to a report by the Office for Budget Responsibility
