people hating on“miscommunication” trope but I wanna hate on “therapy talk” and characters are so articulate about their feelings in the most vulnerable moments that I can’t relate to them because I never saw an actual human being in my life is can be so well spoken while bleeding from their heart

One of my all-time favorite writing things is when you're editing and come across a purely structural problem--ambiguous syntax, pacing, repetition, etc--and start tinkering around with it, and the solution you come up with also happens to improve characterization or plot. SO satisfying.

I really want to use Ellipsus and I know a lot of people really like it but unfortunately it keeps being really glitchy for me :/ not in a way that makes it entirely unusable, just in a way that makes it really hard to reach a flow state. Not sure I can stick it out tbh.
