A couple of weeks ago I tried to read a fairly well-received novel on a Serious Topic and had to give up within the first 10 pages because every single page was like “Hey did you know that Topic is bad? Topic is bad! People who support Topic are bad! My character suffers because of Topic!”

I stg, my number one life hack: adjust your vocabulary in emails to always say “attached is” rather than “here is.” Most email programs will then send you a pop-up warning if you hit send without attaching a file. This has been saving my life for a decade or more at this point.

I'm watching Story of Yanxi Palace and this is only like #5 or 6 on the list of things I enjoy about this series. but it is quite nice to watch historical fiction that isn't totally disdainful of the concept of a woman doing embroidery.

We went and found the Lego sukkah. It’s in Oak Park, MI, and it was built by Menachem R., with help from his nieces and nephews. During the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, you build a booth and eat meals outside in it. They’re usually made of wood but he got funky with this one!
