It has been wild to have my congressional rep be the national meme topic. I opened Instagram and a goth band I’m a fan of was clowning on Haley Stevens. They’ve always a been political band and that is part of why I like them, but still what a surprise
Made some books using bark that fell off the river birch in my yard!
Getting Donavan McKinney AND getting rid of Shri is a double win!!
Metro Detroit public transit has been funded through a millage since 1995. However, township sized cities (up to 36 sqmi) were allowed to opt out. 10 years after the four county regional transit millage failed by 1% in 2016, Oakland Co went all in (2022) & now Wayne Co is all in.

Candace Calloway won the state rep nomination in my area. She was endorsed by the outgoing rep Regina Weiss, whom I liked a lot, so I voted for her.
Rashida Tlaib won her primary! She always kicks ass but it’s nonetheless beautiful news
Looks like incumbent Glenda McDonald won the Highland Park mayoral primary, with Mama Shu of Avalon Village in second place

With 41.38% of precincts reporting, it looks like incumbent Sheldon Neeley is well in the lead for the Flint mayor dem nomination :/ My friends whose opinions I trust were rooting for Roshanda Womack, who is currently in third.
Last I checked, Wayne County transit was at 69%, but there was still a lot left to count 🤞

The Stooges were Grande Ballroom legends second only to the MC5 (the mural references the MC5’s “Kick Out the Jams” battle cry and kinda looks like guitarist Wayne Kramer) Grande closed in 1972. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. The building is for sale. Pics 12/27/25

U.S. Representative John James wins in the Republican gubernatorial primary against businessman Perry Johnson.
Recently read a skeet on here that was like "It's theorized men are more vulnerable to LLMs/chatbots because women are more thoroughly socially conditioned to be instantly suspicious of fawning, complimentary, compliant attention," and. Thinkin' about that, tonight. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtvI...

Alright, so we're 3 for 3 on amendments. Let's chase the clowns who keep opposing this stuff out of office.
JUST IN: Missouri voters overwhelmingly approve Amendment 1. Amendment 1 is often cited as the funding mechanism through which Missouri can provide free admission into its state parks. Via @kbianews.bsky.social:
