I love art, knitting, books! This is a place where I share my knitting and crochet adventures, new designs and things that inspire me, often the books I've read and nature photos!

It's #showmeyourknits 2nd birthday, and a it's so nice I made it twice theme! 💕🧶 The first photo has 3 of my all time favourite knits, I've knitted these at least 3 times each and the second one is my favourite designer and three pair of mitts that I've knitted twice! Patterns in comments ☺️

A photo collage of 6 hand knitted items, featuring two versions of each pattern. There are two poet shawls, a small lace and moss stitch shawl pattern, one in bright yellow, the other in a beautiful turquoise. Two geometric gradient cowls, one a blue, green, yellow, orange and brown mix, the other different shades of pink and purple. Lastly there are two floral colourwork hats, one is blue and white and the other is navy with coral and gold flowers.A photo collage of six pairs of hand knitted mitts. All Erica Heusser designs. There are two pairs of dandelion mitts, one black, gray and yellow and the other turquiose, yellow and a pale peach colour. There are two pairs of underwing moth mitts, a pink pair and a navy and chartreuse pair. And finally two pairs of owl mitts, a short navy and white pair and a longer black and gray pair with a neon pink band at the bottom

Loving this week's #showmeyourknits textures prompt! 🧶 My lastest FO is the Squash Blossom Hat and I love the textures created by the twisted stitches and lace in this pattern! With the hat we have a gem squash! I did have a blue pumpkin in mind but it was a bit too big for the camera frame 😁

A book blanket update!! 📚💕🧶✨ I'm halfway with my squares, which I'm really excited about! I have run out one of the main/edging colours so I will need to look in my stash for a replacement, very likely a light blue/apple green. Pattern: Painted Roses Blanket by Sandra Paul #Crochetsky #Booksky

And I have a #FOFriday post too!! 🌱🤍🩶🤎 The seed socks are finished!! No pattern at the moment, but they feature the Sunflower seed lace pattern and are the first pair socks inspired by gardens and those who tend them! There are a few more ideas in mind, 🤞the others work out too! 😄🧶 #knitsky #knit

So excited that this shawl is finished, couldn't wait for a #FOFriday ☺️ This is the red-wing blackbird inspired Imagineur, pattern by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne. I originally had gold in mind for the third colour, but wasn't that happy with it so switched to the chartreuse, which I love!! 💚🧡❤️🖤 #knitsky 🧶

For #showmeyourknits this week - interpretations of Light and Dark. I picked the Kaarina Shawl by Sari Nordlund for the interpretation of light. 🤍🧶 For the dark, my current WIP, Imagineur by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne, which despite it's avian influences, has a dark and fiery feel which I just love! 🧡❤️🖤
