Indieformer

@indieformer.com

Teeny tiny publisher from Australia. Just trying to bring cool games to cool people. Publishing @scorchpot.indieformer.com

I have just read the most rewarding thing I can as a games publisher: "And I can now continue doing what I love" - our dev From only a few hours ago, this sums up the last 12 months. That's our goal, make enough sales for our devs that they can continue to do what they love 🥰 To the future 🥂

This post is a story. I don't care if it doesn't get likes or attention. An incredible achievement for us today: After 13 years of Indieformer, we can OFFICIALLY say we have launched a game on Steam 😭 Launch trailer is below, you know where to find links. Thread below!

How do other publishers feel when they release a game? Maybe because it’s our first, but I: - have got no idea what to expect - am excited/scared by what’s coming - hopeful we can continue doing this for the foreseeable future 5 days until we release the wild 🙈

Calling play testers! We need some fresh eyes on Abelina. Narrative-driven 3D platformer currently in development. Being made by a guy who worked on League of Legends 👀 If you’re keen, I’ve got the discord link the replies 👇

I present, our LAUNCH Trailer. Marketing hasn't been our jam. But man did we TRY with this one! - Catan roguelike with Balatro numbers - 20+ unique dice to roll - 9 unique dragons with different playstyles - My wife drew EVERYTHING by hand Feed the Scorchpot. August 20. Our first game 🥹

So incredible to see concept work from Gabe (the dev) for the ending of @abelinagame.bsky.social. The speed and precision this man is working at is incredible! Feel very lucky to be on this game dev journey with him 👊 Full disclosure: I am a video game publisher and this is one of our games 🙏

We are super duper, extra hyped and excited to ANNOUNCE: We have signed another game! 🎉 Almost a year after signing our very first, we're keen to show you what's now cooking up for Q1 2027. Bsky, I introduce: Abelina

RANT: The amount of “opportunities” we received from companies with “200,000” active backers for Kickstarter campaigns was crazy. 1. PAYING you is not an “opportunity” mate 2. We are running a campaign to RAISE money, becuase we’ve got none 3. I said leave me alone, STOP EMAILING ME /rant over

Feed the Scorchpot is created by me (a solo dev) and my wife (the artiste). A... labor of love? The story goes: - dragon gives you an island - only asks to be fed in return - fishy but ok - feed for 20 years to get out alive Simple enough. Try the demo! How good of job has my wife done?!

For the void that can be social media, or perhaps to all the people who enjoy seeing my account pop into their feeds: We're steppin' on up in the world (at least in our eyes) to become a game-publisher only 😎 ... the emoji was too much, wasn't it?

We rejected $17K in funding. Bit clickbait, but that's what our first Kickstarter for @scorchpot.indieformer.com raised before we canceled. Too much was going to physical rewards, not enough to game dev. But we picked up where we left off, with a new goal, and there's only 4 days left!

A huge shoutout to our returning backers! Even after the little bump we had with canceling the first campaign, you guys came back around and made the second time a success too. Short, and sharp this one. Then the real work begins 💪

The Vampire Survivors team decided the next logical step was a turn-based dungeon crawler where you headbutt chests for loot. It uses a system that lets you play cards as fast as you can click. It translates the chaos of a bullet heaven into a deckbuilder whilst not being completely overpowered.

This is a strategy game where you're less of a general and more of a frustrated landscaper trying to facilitate a war. The writing is incredibly dense and self-aware, featuring "career options" like insurance fraudster and a fully interactive shower. It’s a weirdly personal, text-heavy trip.

Most games give you a mini-map, but this one just lets you follow your nose through the French countryside to find your family. It’s a low-stress exploration game where the main mechanic is rooting around in the dirt and being a nuisance.

Fighting a fast-food empire with a spirit-mech that runs on flavor profiles is peak indie. You have to match enemy "cravings" to break them, which is a nice way of saying you're overfeeding corporate goons to death. The vibe is very much "save the world, but make sure the seasoning is right first."

Everything in this world is hand-drawn 1930s rubber hose animation, but everyone has a Tommy gun. The contrast between the bouncy Mickey Mouse aesthetic and the gritty detective violence is jarring in the best way. It looks like a Sunday morning cartoon and plays like a fever dream.
