When I tell people I’m making a game: “Oh cool what it is about” *knowing they are asking to be nice and don’t know much about gaming* “It’s a bit like a board game and you feed a dragon” “cool” *literally what it is but can’t explain better 🙃*

We FINALLY get to say it: We're funded! After canceling our first campaign, and coming back for a second micro 8-day campaign, it's so lovely to see our backers return to get us over the line. Thanks a million to our 149 backers 🙏🙏🙏

Feed the Scorchpot is created by me (a solo dev) and my wife (the artiste). A... labor of love? The story goes: - dragon gives you an island - only asks to be fed in return - fishy but ok - feed for 20 years to get out alive Simple enough. Try the demo! How good of job has my wife done?!

We rejected $17K in funding. Bit clickbait, but that's what our first Kickstarter for @scorchpot.indieformer.com raised before we canceled. Too much was going to physical rewards, not enough to game dev. But we picked up where we left off, with a new goal, and there's only 4 days left!

I am a solo indie dev making a roguelike where you feed a dragon. - Tabletop-based gameplay with big math energy - Roll dice to harvest food - 100% hand-drawn art (by my wife) It’s called Feed the Scorchpot, and you can play the demo on Steam now.

This is... embarrassing 😞 Despite being fully funded, we are officially canceling the @Scorchpot Kickstarter campaign. It was a hard call to make, but it’s the right one for the game and the community. Here is what happened (Thread)

When a player: > goes home > tells friend to wishlist our game > drags him to the booth the next day to play > AND explains the game to him The real MVP right there 🥹 There is no greater joy than watching someone share something they’re excited about 🙌
