After tonight’s comments, I’m not sure if birds are real. 🐦⬛ It’s tomorrow now.

If I start hearing the birds because the sun is coming out…I’m going to lose it.
These days, most council meeting send me into an existential crisis.
Being a renter in this economy is very different.

I will continue to be a broken record that says “a clean and safe downtown means pedestrians don’t die when visiting.”
This should have happened so long ago it’s absurd. This was preventable.
Pedestrianize Broadway now.
Everyone should be able to walk/bike across the street without fearing for their life. Yet Nashville continues to see pedestrians killed while crossing our roads. No turn on red is a proven step that can help prevent these tragedies. We’ve studied the issue long enough. It’s time to act.
Technology is changing rapidly, but transparency and accountability should never be optional. That's why I've introduced the Sunshine Over Drones Act to close a loophole that allows surveillance drone technology to be deployed without the public oversight our laws were designed to require.
The most densely populated part of Nashville (and Tennessee) is not downtown, or East, or near the universities - it's South Nashville.
A little desner/essentially the same - South Nashville. Notice the huge discrepancy in bus service: hundreds of stops in West Nashville, 51 in South. Also consider how many more parks, greenways, and bike lanes service in Edgehill, Hillsboro, West End and 12 South.
👋 🚌 📚 Trying to read more fiction & less work stuff (urbanism, transpo, AI, politics) these days b/c fun & rest are necessary. Planning to #rollwithwego with the trusty #3 as my #bookbus. #ChooseHowYouMove #Nashville and join us! #MetroCouncilNash @nashvillemco.bsky.social

The family of Denis Geovani Ba Ché, who died in 2023 after a fall while working on a Nashville school’s roof, has settled their lawsuit against contractors and the city. His death in part inspired the establishment of the Metro Contract and Compliance Board. ✍️ @stelliott.bsky.social

"Our bandwagon has plenty of space on it... We want to play in an attacking and intense style, and we want to be as authentic as possible." BJ Callaghan says Nashville SC are ready for more as they look to capitalize on the World Cup buzz.
If you’ve seen John Bull since Sunday, let the world know!
Hey friends! Please be on the lookout for beloved community member John Bull, who you probably know from his great work with Open Table Nashville. Friends and family haven't seen or heard from him since Sunday. If you have, please let us know!
(Also it’s probably the Mill on Floss, but I need to reread to confirm. Also finalist are The Sound and the Fury, Pride & Prejudice, In Cold Blood, Catch 22, A Prayer for Owen Meany, and probably others I’m forgetting…)
What’s your favorite book of all time? 📚
Opening ceremony postponed tomorrow due to weather.
