I’m frustrated, sad, and angry about what happened last night. We had Kim take the bus and show up in her wheelchair to speak on the importance of NROR. The same night we are debating this bill, CM Vo’s constituent was hit by a car earlier in the day by a car turning ROR. We have to do better.
If you're wondering where we are in Nashville, we're at the point where an incredible advocate who has been hit and severely injured by a car driver is showing up to council *in her wheelchair* to demand change. That's where we are right now.

Last night, country music star Zach Bryan performed at Gillette Stadium wearing a Free Palestine shirt, with drummer Nate Head and guitarist Noah Le Gros with Hind Rajab and Palestine jerseys. Brilliant solidarity following Robert Kraft's banning of Macklemore at the same stadium.

Someone go tell Jamie that this is bigger than downtown. I absolutely can do more than one thing at once. That’s why a couple of meetings ago I passed drone legislation. My district also has one of the highest density. NROR was filed before the downtown insistent.
Again, the point people are making about the 2024 Connect Downtown plan being outdated is moot when, year after year, studies and recommendations continue to point to the implications of eliminating right turns on red. But this is bigger than DT.

You have to cross like six active lanes of rideshare traffic to get to the bus at BNA
water567891011.bsky.social@water567891011.bsky.social · 3w agoIt is borderline insulting how BNA hides the WeGo Route 18 bus stop in the very back of the garage as far away as possible from the entrance/exit. And they could fix it tomorrow by just moving the sign. There is an entire unused curb that has benches, shelter, and is visible from the door.
I do wish we could do these a tinge later than 5. I scheduled some work on the other side of town until 5 before this info was published. It’s going to be pretty challenging to get downtown for this. Please attend if you’re able!
