@chrigru.bsky.social plädiert dafür, u.a. ▶️ on.orf.at/video/14334955/16138122/niedrigwasser-beeintraechtigt-stromproduktion

Movie ads on the screen in your car, of course 🤣😖 "Modern vehicles collect reams of data on drivers, people in the car, and sometimes even those outside it. Often, that data isn’t just used by the automakers themselves, but sold to third parties"

In the 2010s, we were told new tech would revolutionize transportation. As BMW faces backlash for sticking a Spider-Man ad on its center console, we can see what it really amounted to: cars that collect vast quantities of data on us and which automakers are desperate to use to push ads on us too.

I wrote a post about the emergence of AI-native students who do their research using GenAI tools. I think that there are some real risks to job prospects and the likely changes in their fields.

"Just as noxious pollution produced by the factory can harm the common public right to reasonably clean air, the harmful effects of Meta's platforms on children do not stay contained by its platforms and, instead, migrate to the internet as a whole and, perhaps most concerning, to the real world ...

How a meta-phor framed a judgement. Judge in New Mexico compares dangers posed by Meta to children to 'air pollution' www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Praterstern z.B. 🥵

I was not informed by the BBC that they would have a right wing political figure or lobbyist on after me to rebut what I said. The individual in question went on to spout lies about China, etc. to distract attention from the Trump administration's assault on climate action. This is unacceptable.

I'll be on BBC News television TODAY ~3:40pm ET (8:40pm London local time) to discuss--what else---the climate change-fueled weather extremes we're seeing around the world this summer. Please join me: www.bbc.com/live
