Abolish the legal gender marker entirely. No government can be trusted to have a database of which people have changed theirs, no government has any business tracking what your gender is "supposed" to be in the first place.

Since leaving higher ed to teach at the HS level, a lot of my energies as a writer have been devoted to exploring philological ideas through fiction. I'm still keen to be involved in conferences, give talks or readings, and participate in academic classics. Keep me in mind if opportunities arise!
