Can anyone out there recommend a good article for students on how to annotate readings?

What kind of academic publisher doesn’t know or cannot put together a word document or interactive PDF that actually WORKS?? Useless buffoons.

It turns out that @greekmythcomix.bsky.social is a superlative interviewer, taking on the role of host with aplomb. I could listen to Laura read the phone book, but once you've listened to her interview me about *my* book, you should listen to her read her *own* book! shows.acast.com/you-are-odys...

It's not every day this podcast host publishes a book, so today's episode is a bit of a celebration! Temporarily stepping into Alexandra's interviewer shoes is the inimitable @lejenksbrown.bsky.social, as Alexandra talks about her book 'Gladiators in the Greek World' and her writing process.
Classics friends, a colleague and I are trying to put together a pedagogy panel for CAMWS on working with grad students specifically - if you teach in a grad or post-bac program we'd love more submissions!
If anyone is specifically going to Istanbul to look at East Roman bits, I highly recommend Sergei Ivanov's In Search of Constantinople: A Guidebook through Byzantine Istanbul and Its Surroundings. It covers almost every monument, all the relevant context, and how to find it.

Don’t make fun of Haley “Israel comes to me in my dreams” Steven’s whack ass accent or you’ll offend the liberals whose daddies and uncles talk with that accent. 😢

One thing I did enjoy from Nolan’s Odyssey was the character of Eumaeus the swineherd, and John Leguizamo’s performance in that role.
And, once again, I get WHY students cheat on a systemic scale, sure. But that does not mean we should ignore it or enable it, not any more. No amount of futzing with syllabi or assignment design is going to help with this problem, I can promise you. gAI misuse is ruining this generation.
