Critic friends: I'm repping SILVER SCREAMERS and you *HAVE TO* see it. It's a doc about a group of seniors who get together to make a short horror film. It's a love letter to independent filmmaking, realizing what horror can do, and the joy and pains of growing old. It's so good it made me cry.

Overly-emotional bi dad who loves cartoons and horror, hosts trivia, and is occasionally lucky enough to make movies // WE ARE STILL HERE. MOHAWK. BROOKLYN 45.
Nearly 15 years ago, I sat down with Glenn McQuaid to write a vampire version of The Most Dangerous Game, set at the tail end of Prohibition. When we realized the chances of getting our epic adventure turned into a film were slim, the project remained on our laptops and in our hearts. <1/3>
Tom DeSimone (87) passed away on Saturday via medically-assisted euthanasia. A gay porn veteran of the 70s who was hired to direct a number of studio genre films (including the masterful HELL NIGHT, as well as ANGEL III, SAVAGE STREETS, and REFORM SCHOOL GIRLS), he was a quiet icon of queer cinema.
We just wrapped up our biggest @finalexamtrivia.bsky.social ever, as part of @brooklynhorror.bsky.social. I feel extremely lucky to have co-created this amazing, kind, and inclusive community with my best pal, the legendary Michael Gingold.
I've never really clocked it before, but Snipes' pose on the BLADE 2 poster is kinda of hilarious. Who holds a sword in that position? He's not blocking anything. And the other arm casually across the belly? I actually just tried to replicate this pose sans sword and it is VERY uncomfortable.
Yesterday, La Murga de Austin - the volunteer band that provides the soundtrack to every Austin FC home game - walked out of the stadium and called out the club for its silence around ICE activities in Austin. Amazing.
Have a great night. I love you folks and I hope you’re all finding happiness.
Today I found out there are five SCORPION KING movies.
In my top five horror films of all time. Hitchcock himself couldn't have improved upon a single frame of this absolute masterclass.
In ROAD GAMES, a long-haul trucker, his pet dingo, and a gorgeous hitchhiker play peek-a-boo with a Giallo-esque serial killer on a long road trip through the Australian outback.
Danny Trejo, Henry Thomas, and Harvey Keitel are all starring in a new pro-ICE film from Ben Shapiro and Dallas Sonnier. They're shooting in Livingston, MT, and the town absolutely hates them. deadline.com/2026/10/mont...

Just scrape the whole awful thing into the garbage and call it Porner Brothers.
Paramount intends to complete their acquisition of Warner Bros next week. The new name of the combined company could be announced as soon as tomorrow. (Source: edition.cnn.com/newsletters/...)
I finally saw the new RESIDENT EVIL and absolutely loved it up until the final 10 minutes, when it spiraled so hard that I actually "boo"d when the movie ended. Spoilers in thread.
On behalf of all publicists... If you run a film festival, don't send out your press list as a pdf. It doesn't make it any safer, and just makes us have to go through a bunch of dumb steps to turn it into a usable spreadsheet. Thank you. That is all. xo
Does anyone else get these? Starting about a week ago, I get around a dozen spam calls every day that go right to voicemail and proceed to ask if I’m still on the line?
Anne Ramsay, the amazing star of my 2023 film BROOKLYN 45, is in one of those Liberty Biberty commercials and its gotten 99 MILLION views.
The meanest thing in any horror movie ever is in HALLOWEEN 4, when those cheerleaders pull over and make a hitchhiking Dr. Loomis think they're going to pick him up and then they drive away just as he reaches them.
We live above a 24-hour bodega on Manhattan's Lower East Side. It's kind of lovely that today of all days marked the first time my son was able to properly say "As-salamu alaykum" to the guys working there and wishing them peace. It was met with a lot of hugs. Interactions like that ARE New York.
I'm not on here much anymore, and trying to limit all social media in favor of family and real-life, but I do hope that everybody here is doing well and that your own world are turning the very best they can. Sending all the love out, friends.

This ad is so fantastic that it made me tear up. My father was a quadriplegic and would always roll his eyes when a stranger would pat him his shoulder and say something like, "You're an inspiration." Sure he was was, but he was more than that. He was dad... and that was the best thing he could be.

Re-watching BACK TO THE FUTURE with Teddy and only just now realizing that Biff's "You Irish bug" insult was him poorly making fun of the McFly family name.

I pulled a muscle in my left scapula on Wednesday morning, right before catching my flight to Montreal and have been in near-sobbing pain since then. I'm praying that it goes away at some point so I can actually go out and enjoy a movie or some socializing! Yay, getting old!
Is this the future of film poster credits? We don't even list the actors' names anymore, just the most popular credit on their IMDb profile? Oof.
My father told me to avoid speaking ill of the dead unless they were scumfuck trash. Then you should speak very ill of them when they're alive, even moreso after they die, and forever onward so their shittiness is never, ever forgotten.
I never thought there would be a day in which I'm not amped for a new EVIL DEAD, but the heartless nastiness of the last few have really bummed me out. I get that Ash had to kill his sister in the mostly-humorless original, but the act was never played for sheer agony. These ones are so MEAN! <1/2>
