I was born two weeks late, and suspect that I'm two weeks late with this, but it was an enjoyable five minutes in the middle of a 12-hour working day. A different five minutes would have produced a different selection. I tried to think of records that had left an impression, and these came to mind.

My 9 Albums:
Sulk, Associates
Produced and Directed by The Upsetter, Lee Perry
Rocket Number Nine Take Off for the Planet Venus, Sun Ra
Radio‐Aktivität, Kraftwerk
Drift Series 1, Underworld
YMFEES, Leslie Winer & Jay Glass Dubs
Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes, Moor Mother
Levitate, The Fall
The Power of the True Love Knot, Shirley Collins

Combining lyric poems, prose poems & haibun, Have You Always Been Here? traces moments of encounter with landscape, creatures, & everyday wonder. Small acts of attention. Lingering questions. Larger uncertainties. Froglets. Moorhens. Herons. Light. longbarrowblog.wordpress.com/2026/08/28/p...

How do we reconnect with the living world when so much of modern life keeps us indoors, online, & fixed to screens? This sequence follows paths through river valleys, reservoir perimeters, & overlooked spaces where attention becomes a form of belonging longbarrowblog.wordpress.com/2026/08/28/p...
