This has been studied quite a bit, the solar panels create a sort of greenhouse effect for the plants underneath them while also generating energy which feels like it should be cheating but is real and literally only has upsides.

Wow! @menendez.house.gov says that the EXACT scenario I flagged two months ago, where ICE "releases" someone having a medical emergency solely so their death won't be recorded as occurring while in custody, happened last month at the infamous Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, NJ.

Alison Boden@alisonboden.bsky.social · 11h agoThe SCREEN Act just failed to pass in the Senate Commerce Committee! 🎉 Enormous thanks to the thousands (!!) of you who told your Senators to vote no! Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
For further clarity, EA is going to be on the hook for paying 1.8 billion dollars a year in interest, whereas their current yearly profit is 1.5 .So their interest payments are 300 million more than their entire yearly profit. We're in the process of watching them tie a noose and look for a spot.
