A member of the Braves Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers, rescued a kitten from traffic in late August, and the team called on fans to help name the cute kitty … ChipPurr Jones was the runaway answer and the kitten (with the help of treats) threw out the first pitch ☺️ Via @GoStripers

I’m generally not a fan of AGT, but it’s great that this amazing team had the stage. I love that there were breeds of all shapes and sizes! Super fun!

I go back to work tomorrow after 8 weeks of recuperation from my injuries. I’m… verklempt. I’m getting stronger & can walk, etc. so that’s great. OTOH I feel a panicky at giving up the freedom of not being on any schedule but my own, & having to put on a good face with my co-workers & patients. 🥺

I rather like the fact that curiosity doesn't require me to believe anything. I can encounter an idea I've never considered before, poke it with a stick, turn it over, ask questions about it... ...and still decide I don't know what I think. That seems perfectly respectable to me. 🧐

Over the years, I’ve worked w/ several patients (that I know of) in the thick of the 9/11 tragedy: 1 SAR dog handler, 1 businessman just outside the towers, 1 young woman inside the first tower, well below the impact. She died several months ago, and this might have been a blessing for her. 1/
