This needs to be said. GenAI is hated by *everyone*. Not just niche internet weirdos like you and I, but the whole of the general public. When AI is mentioned in conversation, 11 times out of 10 it's derogatory. It's used synonymously to mean something is poor quality, lazy, and artificial.

Still one of my favorite gifs of all time, stop motion never gets the credit it deserves as an artform.
The decline of third spaces and hangouts, such as malls, video rental places, arcades & skate parks has been a direct result of the rise of convenience and has also been objectively bad for society as a whole. Its not that everyone HAS to socialize, but having no option to without bars is a failing.

I am proof of this. I gained more independence, no longer suffer from memory issues or anxiety, healthier, and trying to achieve my goals. It's such a huge difference. Always cut out toxic people, family or friends.

The best thing about creators is that they're actual people. They have a face, a personality and charm. That is why audiences stick around, not just for the content. AI has none of that. Who the fuck even is AI, bro? 😭
Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 3w agoTwitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
