I will not hesitate to block you. If you voted MAGA or were eligible to vote and didn't, or wrote in, we don't have anything in common. You clearly didn't understand the assignment. I can't believe what you say because I see what you do. - James Baldwin

I live and vote in MI. My emotions aren't high. My tolerance has dipped below zero for this BS slide into the abyss. Being reminded of the martyrs we've always been for people who wouldn't spit on us if we were on fire is neither timely or wise in this moment, regardless of your color or gender.

Seems bad? Sen. Boozman of Arkansas is now voting for Mitch McConnell, claiming that McConnell talked to him and gave him permission to cast his vote. The photo on the article here is old, from before McConnell's crisis. No one's seen him. No reporters talked to him. But people are using his vote.

Mitch McConnell Is Voting, But He’s Still on Medical Leave

The Kentucky Republican broke ties on amendment votes “by proxy” on the farm bill Thursday.

Friendly reminder, when you see the DSA. This is their purpose, it’s not about them winning. It’s the destruction of the Democratic Party.

Why are so many people preoccupied with defending “socialism” and “communism” right now when we have decades of experience demonstrating that the definitions of the words are absolutely immaterial to those using them as an attack?

Why we don't have Universal Healthcare in this country summed up. Basically, it's because of racism, but it's also a few other things feeding into it as well. ALL of it is stupid and self-defeating. We ALL deserve universal healthcare. Period. White people: fix your shit.

This is the reason we don't have
universal healthcare. Very succinctly
put:

mrs.frazzled originally asked the question:
"I'm literally confused why everyone doesn't want universal healthcare ???"

regenfuturist replied with the answer:

"Because too many white people don't want non-white people to have it, too many rich people don't want poor people to have it, and too many white, poor people don't want themselves to have it because too
many white, rich people told them only white, rich people deserve to
have it."

Ziana Welch added:

"Systemic divisions effectively block shared progress. Pitting groups against each other preserves the status quo. It is a succinct breakdown
of policy stagnation ".

Anyway... This is Jesse Butler, who raped two high school students, leaving the courtroom after having his case dismissed. One girl had to have neck surgery due to him strangling her. This is what patriarchal dominance looks like in the Justice System. Systemic Racism and Sexism.

I mean, isn’t this the story of every place Europeans colonized? It’s the inverse of the Eurocentric narrative of where people indigenous to their native lands would be without white colonialism. Cultures existed before they were “discovered”. But whiteness has always assumed everyone wanted 1/

The next time someone argues that the Aborigines “did nothing with the country for 65,000 years”, instead of arguing back I will keep my answer simple: “Unlike the white fella, they looked after the place.” theaimn.net/what-if-the-...

Y’all, I think this might be a good sign because Simon Rosenberg is pretty respected/influential at the top of the party. He straight up said in his podcast yesterday that the DSA is dangerous, anti-democratic, & doesn’t belong in the tent. Start at 18:55 if you want to skip to that part.

Hey @ariellaelm.com, I was listening to @simonwdc.bsky.social today on my commute & the whole episode is worthwhile but if you start at the 18:55 minute mark he talks about how he has “grave concerns” about the rise of the DSA & that they do not belong in the tent. Highly recommend to all:
