This is pretty cool, the itch app doesn't have proper Proton support for running Windows games on Linux right now (just bare wine, long requested feature), but, in the next app version you can make a "direct" shortcut in Steam and then Steam will manage the compatibility layer with Proton for you

Thanks again for testing, it should work on the next version of the app. On Linux can you will be able to add "direct" shortcuts to Steam for Windows executable and it will both add the windows .exe and configure Proton automatically. Very cool actually

🚨🚨 cool tool alert‼️ 😎🛠️ Pixel Art Studio alfredbaudisch.itch.io/pixel-art-st... “…a Blender plugin for pixel perfect pixel art texture painting. It supports drawing and painting pixel art inside Blender, in the 3D Viewport on top of the model (in Object and Edit modes) and in 2D in the Image Editor.”

Another feature coming in the next version of the @itch.io app that's been requested a few times. If you downloaded a game outside the app, but want it to be registered within the app you can now link the folder. A power user escape hatch, but it should make a few people's lives a bit easier.

In the next version of the itch app you can... make your itch games show up in Steam 😅. This has been a long outstanding request that should make it easier to play your itch games without having to change apps on Steam Deck or Big Picture mode

Pie chart showing game engines used to create 10,511 GMTK Game Jam games in 2026. Godot has the largest slice with 47%. Then Unity with 34%. Other with 11%. Game Maker with 5%. And Unreal Engine with 3%.

Got an hour to spare today or tomorrow? Leave some kind comments on things you enjoy. Tell a developer they're doing a great job, or let an artist know their work is incredible. It can make a big difference in someone's day, trust me.

so I've been working on proper "mega bundle" support in the itchio app. Trying to figure out where they should appear. How do you feel about adding new "collection" style rows that show up in the Library tab?

Is anyone just endlessly harassed by these? Seemed to start around that time someone figured out you could use Meta's support AI agent to take over an account
