Once again it is time to contract your representatives: The FY27 budget request for NSF (see nsf-gov-resources.nsf.gov/files/FY-202...) would get rid of the Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences.

The brutal handcuffing of Senator Padilla is an affront to democracy. I’m joining House Democrats to march to Senator Thune’s office and to demand that he protect his Colleagues from this out-of-control authoritarian onslaught.

Interesting developments with the Restatement and the negligence standard in medical malpractice cases. This hits close to home for me as much of my early work showed how physician behavior is sensitive to the negligence standard.
