Lyon Richardson's Brewers tenure came and went without a single appearance during daylight hours and now the Brewers have used 31 pitchers this season. My latest for Shepherd Express notes the ninth consecutive full season where they've used at least 30:

I'm not sure I get the "this was inevitable" takes on Skubal/Dodgers. Skubal cost about 40% of his salary and prospects - are we saying this option wasn't available to other teams?

At the risk of being a buzzkill, every team in baseball is "aggressively exploring" possible moves at the trade deadline. That's what they do. It's literally people's only jobs.
With their win tonight the Brewers are guaranteed to avoid 100 losses, making it their 24th consecutive season above that bar. That may not seem like a lot, but 17 teams have lost 100 since the last time the Brewers did.

I remember when Joel Kuhnel joined the Brewers a few weeks ago and immediately had a huge velo jumped, people assumed it was something to do with the Vegas park. Seems like: No, it's real. (Hasn't led to production, though.)
I do not recall making this but it feels very appropriate to Wednesday's game.
