After several attempts where I'd start and then get too busy to properly finish, I have finally beaten Signalis. Hell of a game right there. Puts a bullseye straight onto my interests. We need a Mothership module that captures even half of these vibes.
Doing Lady Blackbird setup: @unenthuser.bsky.social: so I'm rexcited to do this game with all these Star Wars-y tropes & forbidden love Me: Hey that's neat and all but I can't help but notice this goblin here and unfortunately I will be choosing it, the other players need to be the real characters
More information I don’t know what to do with. Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond series, first gained notoriety in his military career in 1939 for the Trout Memo, which involved a plan for “casting a lure” to the Axis by planting misleading intelligence on a dead body for them to find. 1/3
@unenthuser.bsky.social's Appx N Jam entry is real good. unenthuser.itch.io/beyond-the-b... Review below:
I converted Easy Money for Liminal Horror and added some content. A seemingly simple burglary turns out to be something a tad bit more complicated. golden-achiever.itch.io/easy-money

Liminal Horror Summer Jam 2026 is live (until we lay it to rest on Halloween)! I’m going to be updating this thread to highlight the entries in the jam! itch.io/jam/liminal-...
Just dropped two bite-sized bits of horror. Conjunction is a post-apocalyptic point crawl about forging connections amid the horrors, written for the One Page Dungeon Contest. Beyond the Black Needed is a tale of demonic possession written for the Appx. N Jam. Links below.
Watching WW2 In Color and ya gotta love the slant. Narrator: Japan wanted the European colonies, but needed to be careful, as the US ran an “unofficial empire” in the Pacific. Motherfucker, the US had their damn military occupying the Philippines. You don’t need to sugar coat the imperialism!
A testimonial. Nightcrawler is My Boyfriend has done the impossible: convince me to pull my omnibus collection of Uncanny X-Men off the shelf that has been waiting "for the right time" to be read for about a decade now.
Our first episode is UP. We discuss Giant-Size X-Men #1 (the first appearance of our titular boyfriend) and write our first game mechanic. open.spotify.com/episode/1aSg...
Started reading Neonomicon. Don't even need to look at the cover to know this is an Alan Moore comic, as that's made clear by the explicit use of the N-word 3 pages in.
Five Nights at Freddy's and the Backrooms are New Gothic media.
Josh and I have been working on a little history retrospective on the past 5 years of Liminal Horror. It’s shaping up to be a five part series focusing somewhat on each year. So if you have any burning questions about any projects or bits you’ve been burning to know about ask away:
Love that it's an unwritten law that any website selling TTRPGs must kinda suck.
Gillian Anderson has officially revealed the upcoming 1,478-piece LEGO set for THE X-FILES. The set is centered on Mulder’s office, paired with a forest clearing scene and a hovering UFO. Includes 8 minifigures, featuring Mulder, Scully, The Flukeman & more. August 4.
Huge congrats to @byodinsbeardrpg.com for Midnight of the Century! I had a blast with the QuickStart last year and have been dying for the full version to arrive. Got a campaign planned for later this year.
The magic of Bloodborne is that Yharnam feels so much bigger than is is when you lay it out. But someone needs to do a "Roots of Old Kalduhr" treatment for this and make a version of the city for Trophy Gold.
Impossible to measure what's at the "top" of public perception but it's pretty clear that games like Lancer don't get the same kind of visibility because the attention machine doesn't play crunchy games
Lancer tends to fly under the radar a bit, but it's kinda wild when you know the number of views and downloads it needs to be getting to by locked in to that top slot on the Popular tab for Physical Games on itch.

Future Cthulhu Dark/Trophy idea: Borrow from Bloodborne's Amygdala and Lovecraft's From Beyond and have some lurking entity that the characters can only actually see when their Insight/Ruin reaches 5. Think I got something already brewing that I can integrate this with.
Free idea to steal: The Odyssey meets Carved from Brindlewood. You are on a journey home, but keep getting blown off course due to divine intervention. Each of the perils you face is a new "mystery" that must be resolved before you can continue your journey.
Perhaps the greatest birthday gift I have ever received.
We hit #1 😭 thanks everyone
The LIMINAL HORROR DELUXE EDITION has just hit digital marketplaces! Print editions is coming later this year (date announcement coming very soon) Get a copy now: goblinarchives.itch.io/liminal-horr... Scare your friends and survive the horror
The Odyssey, a one sentence review: It’s exactly as good as you expect it to be, but it’s also the loudest fucking movie on the planet.
I love how insane (positive) typeface sickos are.
Been doing a lot of retrospection this month. I still think my post on Triangle Agency might be one of the best things I've written over the years. I'm gonna try to top that tonight with the FEMA management guidelines as TTRPG narrative guidelines thing I'm rotating in my head, but in the meantime:
You Didn't Understand Triangle Agency Because You're Already "Good At Games™" (and Probably Didn't Read Homestuck)
tl;dr (Triangle Long; Derails Reviews) This one is gonna be kind of a long one, and because this ties to the point I'm making I'm actua...

Is there a Mothership or Cy Borg module out there that's like slow plodding transhumanism? Something in the vein of the philosophical questions asked by Ghost in the Shell that isn't Gradient Descent.
Excited to share that Look Behind You was named a finalist at Colorado Web Fest for 2026! This was a tiny but mighty team: me as GM/editor and @morkallgm.bsky.social as the player. Very proud of what we made together. #liminalhorror #actualplay #podcast
