March 31st marks the official end of Women’s History Month. We reject that. When our government is literally removing our history from government websites, 31 days of milquetoast acknowledgment is nowhere near good enough. Women’s History Month may be over, but we’re just getting started.
Emily would like to clarify: she never said she wanted to leave home and never come back. Only that she wanted to start walking and not stop until she reached D.C. She loves her life, her home, and her family. Frankly, she wishes none of this were happening so she didn’t feel she had to leave.

Who get's to walk with us? The cheeky answer: the girls, gays, and theys! A little more seriously: the walk is in response to gender-based oppression, and so centers anyone who experiences that oppression, both by placing them at the front, and by prioritizing their safety. (thread)
