Ashley Moody (R-Florida) has a new bill to require the U.S. flag be displayed in all D.C. school classrooms and mandate the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the day, though students could opt out. James Comer publicly unveiled that the platform supported the Republican bill to restrict D.C.'s ability to increase taxes or fees. It's a PR challenge, to say the least.
Can we get a social network analysis to see which candidates were more likely to be ranked together, overall and by different locations in the city?

The only reason signaling her frustration would make any sense would be if she actually wants congressional Republicans to intervene to overrule our local government.
Alex Koma@alexkoma.bsky.social · 3w agoIs Mayor Bowser going to sign the 2027 budget? I've spoken with several sources around the Wilson Building who fear she may not. She wouldn't veto the spending plan, but allowing it to become law without her signature would signal her frustration: especially to Congress.
Biking in DC bas gotten a lot better in recent years, but I really need drivers to not turn into crosswalks without looking. Do not assume drivers will stop for pedestrians in crosswalks.

It is quite telling that Trump is opposed to only one of the two front runners in the mayoral race in DC.

Listen it’s good the DC Council works to restore funding for some social services. But this is an every year thing. The posts about this are the posts we saw last year and the year before and the year before that. It’s time for a different framework that isn’t fighting for scraps.
