I’ve probably not worn shoes since March but put on a pair, with very modest heels, for a funeral today. After the church service and before the reception I had to go and buy some very cheap flip flops and plasters. My left foot is no longer my friend.

The two people in the seats across the aisle from me both have attention seeking coughs and snotty beaks. If I don’t have the galloping lurgy by the time I get off this train I’ll be amazed.
