LAWSUIT FILED: CLF is suing the Trump administration over its decision to weaken fuel efficiency standards for cars. Federal rules required automakers to improve gas mileage in new cars and trucks. Trump is lowering the bar. CLF and our partners are suing to stop them.
Jack Smith: "Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation ... rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 election, he engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power"

The pushback comes as Democrats on Beacon Hill are on the cusp of a long-sought breakthrough to rein in what critics contend are shady energy companies that rip off unwitting customers.

Bloomberg generally does excellent reporting but there is NOTHING in this article substantiating the point that electrification is causing strain. Show us the evidence that EVs and heat pumps are guilty.
Two 50-year-old power plants in the East River are propping up New York's grid, which is ailing under strain from electrification and climate change.
Rhode Island Energy does not have a compelling reason to resist seasonal heat pump rates. They have no vision for how to make energy affordable & meet requirements of the Act on Climate.
Some claim heat pump customers are subsidizing those who heat with fossil fuels. Rhode Island Energy says it's more complicated than that. bit.ly/4yK8OP5

Trump is attacking Iran again and saying the ceasefire is “over,” but Congress already voted to end this war. Reckless, unacceptable, and illegal—that’s why I’m leading the fight to cut Trump’s bloated pentagon budget.

A pathetic abdication of responsibility.
Gov. Dan McKee vetoed bills that would have required large building owners to track emissions. The move leaves Rhode Island with no clear pathway to lowering greenhouse gas emissions from buildings, which account for about a third of the state's emissions. bit.ly/4eKmYXc
