I found a printed spelling error in one of my cryptogram books (they forgot to change one of the Bs to the substitute letter M) and I was about a minute into thinking up a friendly notification email to the publisher when I remembered that I'm not actually that insufferable.

"Close the loop" is just corporate speak for "tighten the noose".
