I have the entirety of the musical "Pippin" stuck in my head.
@andalitebandit.bsky.social watching Master & Commander with me for the first time: *during Maturin's surgery scene* This is somehow homoerotic. Me: It's the gayest scene in the whole movie.
Friends: I found the most incredible Sherlock Holmes book at A. Parker's Books in Sarasota today: a 1920s copy of The Sign of the Four written entirely in shorthand. I gasped when I realized what I was looking at!
If anyone knows a Mrs. D.E. Morgan in Llangwm, Wales, please inform her that I found postcard addressed to her in a used copy of R. Buckminster Fuller's "Untitled Epic Poem on the History of Industrialization" that I bought this afternoon.
Me, halfway through my monthly TMJ massage: I would let this person Gallagher my head open like a watermelon if they thought it was the correct treatment.
A coworker hit Reply All to an email and made two doughnut puns. I took psychic damage.
I'm playing my favorite game called Do the Dishes and Take a Shower Before the Sleeping Pill Kicks In and I See the Hat Man.
It's Orville Peck night in the hobbit house.
I do wish my life were more like a fairytale. Just me and 23 of my closest friends, baked in a pie, waiting to do a jump scare on some king.
Allow me to continuing beating my favorite drum: Theatre makes you *adaptable*, which is an insanely valuable skill.
Theatre kids excel at - Performing under high pressure - Learning a slew of different skills FAST - Working with teams - Connecting with the public, including public speaking & comms - Handling emergencies calmly - Generally making sh*t happen, even if you have barely any resources
21 year-old me would definitely have vomited this onto a stranger's lawn.
As seen in the wild.
Every day we stray further from Godโs light
Hey, if you're using AI to make fan works, you have fundamentally misunderstood the entire point of fandom and don't deserve to enjoy any part of it
"A recent survey published by Harvard Business Review points to an increased use of the technology in fan spaces, with โfan fiction [sic] and storytellingโ as the fourth most common use case for AI." fuckin hell that's grim
Friend with kids: My daughter just finished her first week of high-school. What have you been up to? Me, single and childfree: Uh I've been really big into watching aquarium livestreams on youtube recently.

We had a heat index of 112 degrees today and I'm fairly certain I know what an unglazed pot in a kiln feels like now.
Sorry, Iโve just been in a weird mood since I was seven years old
At the mechanic; Tech: -and here's the burnt out light bulb we changed. *sets bulb on desk* Me: Uh... Thank you, lightbulb. Tech: ... I've never had somebody thank their old lightbulb before. Me: It seemed polite?
Just because you're Wednesday's child and full of woe doesn't mean you can't have a little fun with it.
happy #smallpoemsunday! ๐ feel free to share small poems you wrote or small poems you love by other poets :) hereโs a small found poem by me, title borrowed from a local thoroughfare~
Some blackout poetry I forgot I made from a weird book about aliens.

I found a printed spelling error in one of my cryptogram books (they forgot to change one of the Bs to the substitute letter M) and I was about a minute into thinking up a friendly notification email to the publisher when I remembered that I'm not actually that insufferable.
"Close the loop" is just corporate speak for "tighten the noose".
