Grateful to The Root for sitting down with me to talk about our race in Harris County, the road to November, and why this moment matters for Texas. Check out the full profile here: theroot.com/can-texas-re...
Dr. Letitia Plummer
@drletitiaplummer.bsky.social
Mother, Dentist, former at-large Councilwoman, & proud Houstonian. Your Democratic Nominee for Harris County Judge.
As your next Harris County Judge, I will establish a Preventive Healthcare Technology Partnership Initiative with Harris Health, the Harris County Health Department Foundation, the Texas Medical Center, local hospitals, city health departments, and health insurance companies.
Harris County, we're coming to Clear Lake! Join me, Desiree Klaus, Albert Wittliff, and Shannon Dicely for our next Community Town Hall stop on Monday, August 24th. Hear from your candidates, ask your questions, and join the conversation about what's at stake this November.
It was wonderful spending Saturday morning alongside Leticia Gutierrez for Cafecito y Charla. Thank you to Mr. Porras for opening Porras Prontito to our campaign! The powerful conversations around ICE and more made it clear what neighbors here are thinking about. I'll keep our families safe.
Last night, we kicked off our 11-stop town hall tour across Harris County in Katy. Grateful to be joined by Sara McGee, Odus Evbagharu, and Vikki Goodwin for a real conversation about what's at stake in these districts, Harris County, and the state of Texas this November.

When ShotSpotter came to the Houston City Council in 2022, I was the only member to vote against it. I asked for the data instead of accepting the sales pitch. That same question deserves an answer now.
I was proud to partner with Now Included to create a moving and urgent documentary about Houston’s Fifth Ward Cancer Cluster. While serving on city council, I helped bring together experts & stakeholders to address community health concerns & bring free cancer screenings to the Fifth Ward.
This morning I attended the Clear the Air Back to School Bash hosted by Acclinate, Now Included, and AstraZeneca in Southwest Houston. We screened Houston's Fifth Ward Exposed, a documentary I partnered on. Watch here: youtu.be/BQ3eyvcGeV4
There's too much on the line in this election to stay at home this November. Join us as we fight for a strong, safe, and affordable Harris County: drletitiaplummer.com/.
Had a great evening earlier this week at the CyTom Democrats' monthly meeting. The momentum in that room was amazing, with hands-on training in carpool canvassing, phone banking, postcarding, voter registration, and poll worker applications. This is what building a movement looks like.
I will not sign a surveillance contract without these non-negotiables: ✏️ Published use policy that says exactly what justifies a search 🔍 Independent annual audit released to the public 📌 Hard prohibition sharing Harris County data outside of named criminal investigations ❌ Strict retention limit
ICYMI: I weighed in on the killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and what Harris County owes his family and this community in the Houston Chronicle. Read the full op-ed: houstonchronicle.com/opinion/outl...

Trump's executive order splits the MMR shot into doses that aren't even available in the U.S. right now. Parents are being handed guidance they can't follow. Every child deserves protection from a disease we already know how to stop.
Georgia Provost was a mentor to me. She built Provost Studios into an institution that photographed generations of Black Houston and blazed a trail for women who own their own businesses. My prayers are with her family, the Third Ward community, and all who knew and loved Georgia Provost.
Wonderful to be in the room last night with so many Harris County and statewide leaders who are ready to fight for a future our families can afford.
I've been all across Harris County this week listening, learning, and showing up for the communities I'm ready to serve. From sitting down with AFSCME members to joining the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and much more, every conversation this week has reminded me why this race is so important.
I had a wonderful time last night joining the Houston LGBTQ+ Caucus for a powerful conversation about the future of our community. Grateful for the warm welcome, conversations like last night's remind me how much is at stake in November and what is possible when we fight together.
We have 90 days until Election Day, and one of the easiest ways you can support this campaign is by putting a sign in your yard. Let everyone in Harris County know you're ready for November 3rd.
Tarrant County: Republican County Judge Tim O'Hare and his fellow Republican commissioners are a few hours away from trying to suppress your right to vote. Stand up for democracy by replacing them in November.
When Harris County wins, Texas wins. Electing Dr. Plummer as Harris County Judge is how we elect Gina Hinojosa as Governor, so we can finally deliver the leadership this state deserves. Support our campaign: bit.ly/3TrMnyb
Back-to-school season is one of my favorite times to be in the community, and today Harris County showed up for its kids in a big way. Grateful for every moment spent with the families and community leaders making this school year a little brighter!
When it comes to storms, it's a matter of when, not if. Disaster preparedness is my number one priority as your next Harris County Judge, and I will ensure our communities are equipped with the tools they need.
Last night, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Biden at her Houston book tour stop. Thank you for the kind words about our campaign and for a lifetime of leadership in education that has inspired so many of us to keep showing up.
There's never a dull moment on the campaign trail. I'm excited and grateful to connect with our communities across Harris County every day.
We have 100 days to make history in Harris County. 100 days to knock on doors, make calls, and build the movement to elect a real fighter as the next Harris County Judge. Come to our office opening tomorrow: shorturl.at/mDx9Q Sign up to volunteer today: shorturl.at/pIDpp
From food security at Harlem River Farms, to a community giveaway at Attucks Middle School, to honest conversations about healthcare access at Trinity United Methodist Church, I am grateful for a full morning in the community.
