What will always be great about FFXIV is that it is my couch-rotting-comfort-game. I can just flop down in front of the tv and play it and I’m not bound to play it at my pc. Which after work is often very nice.

There WILL BE less people like Patrick Stewart or Dolly Parton, given widening wealth inequality, loss of jobs in creative sector, austerity, privatisation of education (especially arts) & financial exclusion. Art of the near future will be less diverse & restricted to the privileged few.

It's hard to imagine that singular talents found in people born in the working class or working poor will get fostered the ways theirs were. The things that nurtured those talents have been stripped for profit by assholes.
