this is very true, do not take this as me disagreeing with OP. I do ALSO however want to say that the events of 2020, lockdown and beyond, very much shattered the monoculture which itself changed fandom writ large for the worse as ppl tied more of their identity to it

There were too many times to count that a sold out theater burst out laughing at Elon Musk, something he said or did, even sometimes just how he looked. I believe that is his worst nightmare come to life.

It was such a blast going on Aftermath Hours to talk about my story with PMG! Also, you might be able to see/hear the exact moment a bat flew into our window because my dog very loudly freaks out, and then keeps jumping into my lap for the rest of the episode.

Final two cents on the PMG x Kotick story: It is paramount that you support the journalism you want to see in the world. Outlets like PMG continue to raise the bar, BUT if you want even more of that probing journalism you have to give reporters the runway and financial backing to produce it.
