When asked why I studied the US instead of Canada, my answer was always the same: the US had more data and better data management. I am feeling devastated watching as agencies' websites go dark... I can't help but feel like the sheer loss of data will thwart the progress of our science.

In sessions outside my research area I find myself confused by jargon + speaker’s assumptions about the aud. background knowledge. As speakers at a large diverse conference, who should we be tailoring our talks for? Do we have a responsibility to make our talks more inclusive and accessible? #AGU23
