I played the itch version of this and I can recommend it as a very cute little incremental buildcrafter with some interesting interactions. In an environment where 30-hour games come out faster than I can play them I like little stuff like this that you can play in an afternoon!

i cannot in good conscience link a minecraft drama video, but it's been discovered the UI hunger haunches jiggle on a fixed seed, meaning you can grab the session tick from the pattern and spot splicing ✂️
i think there's often a bit of confusion between a prototype and feasibility study. a prototype is where you test the unknowns that make your game unique. it's not a chore you want to get out of the way.
you can't automate prototyping because you can't automate design because you can't automate invention
spent a few hours today rewriting my cms system so it uses addressables, because apparently it's considered "bad" to load the whole game into memory on boot. neat trick: older builds of witching stone did not show the unity splash because it was frozen reading the uncompressed bgm.
I don’t know how people could say that programming and art are completely different disciplines when both workflows involve going ‘This will never work, I’m a failure’, changing one thing, then thinking you might be the smartest person alive
You have to laugh at the sheer insanity of Turning Point UK being found to be organising literal contract killings and paid agitation at protests up and down the country and it barely even raises a flicker across the press. If that isn't 'terrorism' on some level I don't really know what is
some of the touhou games send you to stage start on continue. i think that is better, it's like transitioning into a practice mode, but it still lets you smush a full stock into each stage and that isn't analogous to an actual clear
getting wires crossed with souls discourse: sweaty, if they didn't want you to use continues they wouldn't put them in the game
haven't been promoting sys:tan much. it is fun! but for a game i made in 2 months, where you mouseover squares for an hour, it seems weird to email people explaining how this will change their life.
i've released the sys:tan restore demo on steam. so you can play it there. store.steampowered.com/app/5001670/... the browser demo and full release versions are still available on itch. tayl1r.itch.io/systan-restore
