Unbelievable (and complete!) $3 thrift store find today. Hillary won the first game, but like the rivalry between Cheers vs Gary’s Old Town Tavern, the battle goes on. 🍻
Do you like cool horror comics? Our friend @edbrisson.bsky.social has a cool new book coming out called Hammer Head and it's on FOC this Monday! Ed will tell you all about it, let us know if you'd like a copy!
Today is the 62nd anniversary of Jonny Quest, which first aired in prime time on ABC on September 18, 1964. It was created by Doug Wildey.
Is it a hot take to suggest that the mid-80s time-displaced postapocalyptic HEX reboot is an idea worth revisiting? I bet there are some good stories there.
On the drawing board today, a panel from a project that won’t see the light of day until 2027. Making friends with the shadows on this one…I’m gonna need lots more markers.
Another copy of ALL STAR COMPOSITE SUPERMAN headed to the mail today, along with complimentary “Doomscrolling” sticker! Bonus backup stories include a tribute to Keith Giffen and a story starring Steve Ditko’s Odd Man. DM me if you need a copy. #makemorecomics
It's true- and I'm extremely psyched to see it fully brought to life. I read the first two issues and it R-I-P-S, so make sure to tell your store to order yours!
Ed Brisson@edbrisson.bsky.social · 4w agoMore kind words from @jedmackay.bsky.social who has been listening to me prattle on about this book for more than three years now.
Erik speaks the truth, there's no higher compliment than a comparison to Kyle Baker! I do still have a few copies of TOTES RANDO available, DM if you want one, $5 plus postage. Look for another issue early 2027.
Erik Missio@erikmissio.bsky.social · 4w agoGood comic mail day part 1! Really enjoying the comics work of @davehowlett.bsky.social. This totes random comic is fun; the bad puns and irreverent X-men characters remind me of Kyle Baker (no higher compliment) and I appreciate the can-con references.
Best Star Trek crew, wrong answers only.

I’m rewatching Deadwood, so be on the lookout for more of this stuff.
I think I’ve discovered the recurring visual motif in Lanterns, and it’s not the colour green.
More copies of ALL-STAR COMPOSITE SUPERMAN headed to the post office. If you need a copy of this or any of my other comics, DM me.
It’s normal to start a comic with the 4th panel of the 3rd page, right? This is actually just a quick colour test on a mostly finished panel. I’m trying to establish a visual language (1 colour, lotsa shadows) early on & make it stick. This panel was going well so I thought I’d run a test with it.
The upcoming BATMAN annual features a Matt Fraction/Jesse Lonergan story about my guy the Calculator, I really hope he appears in his original duds for at least one panel.
An old sketchbook bit from when Hillary and I went on a real garbage reality TV bender a few years back. I think this was Temptation Island?
Lester is on parole (allowed outside again) after taking a few unauthorized trips off the property a few days back.
Another satisfied customer! Comics on sale at the link in my bio (or just DM me and we’ll figure something out).
