I’ve spent a lot of time the last several months thinking about a kid I knew whose parents lost her this year. She was exceptionally bright. Fluent in at least 2 languages when I met her (i think she was like… 12 or so then?). There is a real & unfathomable cost to your anti-trans rhetoric.
I figured an SCP adaptation of some kind was in the pipeline after Backrooms but dang... A24 is making some UGLY choices. Creators deserve better.

We were supposed to go to a festival today and the weather is cool and rainy, the temp in the low 70s... And then I took Bes for a tiny walk. My Pots is awful today, I nearly puked and my migraine is MUCH worse. I just want to be able to do things! I'm so disappointed and mad at myself.

When folks are against longer seasons of TV because they don't like "filler" episodes, I can tell they didn't grow up with THE X-FILES. Anyone who watched KNEW the monster of the week eps WERE the show. I can barely remember the main conspiracy storyline, but can give vivid details on one-off cases.
The baby next door is knocking on the wall and Fletcher HATES IT. It's tough to explain phantom toddler noises to dogs.
when people who weren't alive in 1995 watch "Hackers" today, i worry they may come away believing that receiving files and clicking on things produced bizarre laser noises. friends, this did not happen. despite its clear focus on realism, this film is less of a historical document than it may seem.
