My earliest experience reading comics was the first four Garfield collections (I learned to read at 5 using them). They informed a lot of my sarcastic sense of humor. The oldest comics I remember reading as a kid were my dad’s Carl Barks Donald Duck comics, which were absolutely magical.

This is a metaphor so on the nose it hurts. Literally, they are removing knowledge from the public domain to feed their machines and permanently deny your access to it. The privatization of knowledge and information is their goal.
