Multiple stories being shared of expensive equipment being stolen from Gamescom booths - both at indie consumer areas and business areas - despite the apparent presence of security. In some cases, it has cut developer's events short, as they can't show their games. Abysmal.

Genuine question, but when did CEOs become public spokespeople for companies? Shouldn't that be the job of marketing or PR, exactly so you don't end up with extremely bad takes like this? When did the role of a CEO go from managing spreadsheets and numbers to being a public star for their company?

Remember when Facebook killed like 4 different websites by lying about their video numbers. I think you can just look around. People don't post to thread..... threads. People don't screen caps of funny threads posts. Even if the numbers are semi accurate, it's not going to serve you.
So I guess either Bluesky becomes a nonprofit or we all start sharing our Threads handles on here…?
Yesterday was one of those days where I got as much stuff done as some entire weeks. 😅 Just a lot of open threads finally coming together after dragging on for months. I've been balancing travel plans, medical stuff, industry involvement, studio work, our game, and more. It gets tiring at times! 💦

Tiny teaser for my new upcoming submersible game 💧
Now that we're back at it, I'm really enjoying the work we've been doing to tie Townseek's narrative together. The interesting challenge has been realising that we're not just writing a single story, but that we're trying to create a cohesive narrative that spans three generations of sharks. 🦈

there are lots of popular things that aren't for me. that's normal. but watching the GTA 6 hype from outside the bubble feels different. what do you mean there's a gameplay reveal exclusive to netflix. why is the tone of every announcement if this game doesn't sell 100 million copies we're all dead
Alright, that's enough Big Walk screenshots for now (until our next session). I'll go back to posting about gamedev and industry stuff now. 😅
