@drummonk.bsky.social and I wrote a @plosbiology.org Primer to highlight a fantastic study by Aalim Weljie’s and Amita Sehgal’s groups that reveals time-of-day dependent activities of glucose metabolic pathways. journals.plos.org/plosbiology/...

Circadian clock gates diurnal glucose utilization

The circadian clock and cellular metabolism are tightly coupled. This primer discusses a recent PLOS study that elucidates how glucose metabolism changes over the course of the day in Drosophila and h...

How do #circadian clocks regulate glucose processing? By integrating human metabolite profiling with isotope-tracing in #Drosophila, this study defines daily rhythms in #glucose utilization that are influenced by circadian timing @plosbiology.org 🧪 plos.io/3Olm1M1

Adaptation to daily environmental changes shaped self-sustained circadian oscillators. We wrote a dispatch on Current Biology to highlight the new papers from Carl Johnson and Michael Rust group. They found seasonal environmental changes select for self-sustained oscillators. Read their works!!
