Purgatory 5/10/2026 I’ve actually had a hard time since getting back into wrestling deciding who I like, if any, then PAC shows up one day looking like a roided out goblin and doing an aerial maneuver that looks like he’s suspended in mid air before dropping to the earth. Linktr.ee/detectiveken

Oct 5-2026 PAC died last week. He was a wrestler from Newcastle and one of very few faves of Ken’s since getting back into it a year ago. He was 40 years old and despite playing a bastard on TV, we will remember him For his spectacular athletic ability, his humbleness and Kindness. On Wednesday night, AEW put on a tribute show. Wrestling can be very romantic and the sight of these wrestlers barely holding it together to put on a tribute show to honour their fallen comrade is a sight I'll hold onto for a long time. The irony isn't lost on Ken that he got into two sports with high mortality rates as he’s always stressing about his own, but that's mostly a thing of the past. Wrestlers have better healthcare, Formula 1 has better safety in cars and on track, but things can slip through and now it stings all the more when they do. To a degree, even Ken’s own protession has high mortality, Perhaps we'll discuss that another time, but for now he wants to spare another thought for Ben Satterly, Known as PAC, who convinced Ken to believe in something he long thought he was done with.

Reading Hawkguy after all this time and it turns out Marvel can make good comics when they want. This comes after I got two thirds of the way through Superior Spider-Man (coincidentally running at the same time) and giving up because it overstayed its welcome.

AEW has unfortunately been put in the position to memorialize a fallen wrestler many times. They do it with a full and honest embrace of grief and loss of the real human being, not just the wrestler. I'm thankful for the care and space they give the roster and the fans to mourn.
