Disappointed in number of stories about Fauci that neglected to point out that the attacks on him are part of an on-going effort by Trump and GOP to distract from their catastrophic mismanagement of the pandemic, mismanagement estimated to have caused hundreds of thousands of unnecessary US deaths.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com · 7d agoThe Fauci hearing perfectly illustrated how living through a once in a century pandemic somehow made Republicans far worse on public health. God forbid we face anything like covid again during Trump 2.0. There will be no Dr Fauci around to try to talk sense to Trump.

This shows the gap between GOP & Dem. messaging. The Republicans NEVER stop pressing their false narratives. They bang the drums over & over. The Dems make their case & move on. They should have been non-stop pummeling Trump for Covid (and 1/6) for years, never letting anyone forget these sins.

Some professional journalists with laptops and cameras need to start doing the job of reporting on the disintegrating mental health of the man with control of the planet’s second-largest arsenal of nuclear weapons. It should be the most important news story in the world today.
Trump’s extended posting spree yesterday suggests that he’s literally *psychotic.* But the press is too terrified or timid to report that.
Every “journalist” at this dinner should hang their heads in shame.

The legacy media sat there while Trump lied about the past elections and "joked" about running again in 2028. They did not boo. They did not walk out. They just sat there and ate their dinner. The journalists in that room will be remembered as the journalists in that room.
My parents’ elder care campus has basically locked down to one guarded gate so they can protect their workers from being kidnapped.

Since Medicaid is "the primary payer" of this work, it's unlikely there will be a huge increase in wages to attract non-immigrant workers. Are Americans prepared to quit their jobs to take care of their elders? Many have.

The Democratic Party's approval rating is in the toilet, and the main reason is voters see Dem leaders and prominent members acting like things are basically okay instead of fighting like there's an emergency. Slot "my friend Lindsey Graham, so funny, how great to work with him" comments into that.
That’s not what the rest of us remember. It’s not necessary to do this. His policy decisions harmed and will continue to harm millions of people. Please let his legacy and fealty speak for itself
